A long, straight sided prism, also called a spear point, a lance drop or a shield cut. Narrow angular facets run the full length and taper evenly to a sharp tip. There is so little width to it that it does not sit on a table as an object so much as a vertical line of light, and a row of them reads as a curtain rather than as a set of ornaments.

Fitted with a spiral wire hook at the top, so the decorative drop hangs from fishing line, floral wire, a manzanita branch or a chandelier arm exactly as it comes.

The spear is the one to buy in quantity. Hang twenty at staggered heights over a reception table and you have a full crystal curtain for a fraction of the cost of a chandelier. It also runs well down the sides of a wedding arch or an aisle marker, where the narrow profile keeps the flowers behind it visible.
